Stuff the pumpkin with polyfill fiber. Pull the thread to gather it and tie it tightly. Take the burlap twine. Wind it around the pumpkin, along the center, and tie it tightly in about two knots underneath. Leave about 4 inches of the twine on the other edge also. This is how the upper part of the pumpkin would look.

Fold your fabric in half and cut out 8 of the pattern shapes on the fold. Place 2 of the fabric shapes right sides facing together and sew all the way around with a 1cm (1/2 inch) seam allowance. Leave a gap at the base as indicated on the pattern, and backstitch at the start and end of your stitching. Pivot with the needle down at the top.
How to Sew Fabric Pumpkins Fabric pumpkins
Place third piece of [FABRIC PUMPKIN PATTERN] together with the two pieces you just sewed, right sides together. Match the tip of the pattern pieces together and pin. Pin entire [FABRIC PUMPKIN PATTERN] piece together and stitch at 1/2" (1.27cm) seam allowance. Make sure to back stitch at the ends.

I chose small scattered prints that weren't directional so they would work best with the pattern pieces. Depending on how much you stuff the pumpkin will change the pumpkin shape.
